Fellowship (m/f/d)

ZEM-Germany offers a 3-month fellowship for candidates with a special interest in leg lengthening and deformity correction with fully implantable systems. You will learn the Reverse Planning Method (RPM) and work 3 days per week as an assistant in the OR, so you will see approximately 20-25 corrections with distraction intramedullary nails (FITBONE), HTOs and other lower extremity deformity corrections, possibly hip distalization and reconstructions after tumor resections. Two days per week you will be in the outpatient clinic and will be able to see initial exams for new patients, follow up for lengthenings, and final exams.

6-month candidates will be supported to write a second author publication using our extensive database.

Continuing education in general medicine (m/f/d)

ZEM-Germany also supports further training in general medicine. With us, you will see common but also extremely rare clinical pictures from the field of extremity diseases in mainly younger patients and also many children. Our patients are usually in long-term treatment, so a strong doctor-patient relationship is the rule. Your responsibilities will include working close to the patient during consulation hours on Mondays and Fridays, rounds with dressing changes on our inpatient ward, surgical-orthopedic examinations and, of course, learning all organizational procedures.

The position is also suitable for newcomers, as no professional experience is required. We expect you to be interested in our specialty as well as in physical medicine and pain therapy, to have computer skills and to be ready to serve our patients from Germany and abroad.

Our modern center is centrally located in Munich at Stiglmaierplatz (streetcar and subway directly in front of the building) and has the authorization for further education in general medicine according to the requirements of the Bavarian Medical Association.

Operating room assistant (m/f/d)

For interested students of higher semesters (module 6) with an interest in surgery and orthopedics, we offer the opportunity to assist in interesting surgical-orthopedic operations such as leg and arm lengthening, axis correction, bone defects and bone tumors.

No special previous experience is required. Surgeries are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The amount of monthly hours or working days can be chosen freely. (12€/hour, max. 450€/month)

There is a lot of explanation - here you can gain a lot of practical experience for your later working life.
